Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19 The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend practicing proper social distancing and good hygiene habits such as washing hands often and reducing direct contact with others. Greater Lake County USBC Association (GLC) has put in place the recommended preventative measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 while in the host bowling center. However, neither GLC nor the host bowling center can guarantee that you or any spectators will not become infected with COVID-19. By officially entering the GLC event, you voluntarily agree to assume all associated risks that come from attending the event and therefore release the GLC and hosting bowling center from any and all claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of its employees, volunteers, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any GLC event.
